I have recently come to realize that my life has been a constant search to find a voice to express myself. Over the years, I've found that music is one of the best and most enjoyable ways for me to do just that. I play guitar, bass, keyboards, and program beats. I also write and record songs when the time and inspiration allows. I have a small batch of songs that I've written in recent years, and I hope to get them recorded sooner rather than later. I figured this would be a good place to share the music with folks once the recordings are done.
I also accept the fact that I'm a "gear-head" that likes to tinker with equipment. I definitely get a sense of accomplishment from learning how things work. That could pertain to just about anything, but the focus of this blog will probably be on things related to music and musical instruments - from guitars to recording equipment, to software and computers. Yet after all these years, I'm still learning the important lesson that these things really should be viewed simply as tools that one uses for creative expression.
That sums up what I hope to do with the blog. I named this blog "the harvard experiments" for the street that I live on, but also it's inspired by how I currently view life - a series of "experiments" where one hopefully learns something from the results.
